Epic trainer Amy Matson, who works in the Business Services Center in Duluth, shared this note with the Daily Dose:
"I just recently had surgery and spent a couple nights in 7 West at St. Mary's. Two of my nurses were the absolute BEST! All of the nursing staff on 7 West were great and did a wonderful job of caring for me. However, the two day nurses that took care of me Friday and Saturday were absolutely fabulous! I don't know their last names, but their first names were Karleigh and Anne ... The two of them are a true testament to what the mission of Essentia Health is all about. I just wanted to personally thank them and give them well-deserved recognition."
DULUTH, Minn. – Essentia Health recently held a recognition dinner to honor its junior volunteers. “Our junior volunteers make valuable contributions to our organization,” Volunteer Services Coordinator Joy Miller says. The volunteers received certificates and award pins for the number of hours they contributed. (Above, from left) Danish Imtiaz, Meaghan O’Connor, Kaysie Bergum and Ashley Anderson were singled out for special recognition for their service. “Our numbers are impressive – 175 middle school and high school students have contributed more than 4,860 hours from September 2010 through August 2011,” Miller says. They volunteer at Essentia Health-St. Mary’s Medical Center, Essentia Health-Duluth and Essentia Health St. Mary’s Hospital-Superior.
